Control Engineer Position at ControlSoft Inc. A Cleveland-Based Company

ControlSoft Inc. has an opening for the position of Control Engineer that we'd like to fill by the summer of 2008. The person hired will be a member of ControlSoft's product development team. The primary responsibility of this position is for control technologies and automation-related software product development, as well as participation in the full cycle of process control strategy specification, design, prototyping, development, deployment, commissioning, and testing.

ControlSoft is a relatively small but growing Cleveland-based company with its origins at and close ties to Case School of Engineering. The company is known, in the automation and advanced control arena, for its innovative control technology development. Our engineers have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of technical activities, to develop expertise in a variety of areas relevant to real-time control and information processing in industrial applications, and to grow into leadership positions with the company.

Examples of recent projects include applications such as (1) engineering and deployment of advanced process control systems at a site in Australia, (2) engineering and deployment of an advanced real-time performance analysis regime in a power plant in Detroit area, (3) engineering and deployment of advanced control strategy for regulating windshield glass surface and core temperature, (4) improving regulation of boiler drum level in a power plant, and (5) working on disinfection process at a water treatment site.
